Matthew Tkachuk Makes Shocking Comments About Auston Matthews Before Game 7

Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk had some comments about Toronto Maple Leafs captain Auston Matthews right before Game 7 that may just surprise some people.
Auston Matthews has had a difficult series against the Florida Panthers considering he only got his first goal in Game 6.
Of course, it was a very big goal. It helped the Leafs win the game against the Panthers and for a decisive Game 7.
It will be a huge matchup between Matthews and superstar Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk who has been a rat throughout the whole series.
Matthew Tkachuk on Auston Matthews
Prior to this deciding Game 7, Tkachuk spoke reporters where he was asked about Matthews and whether or not the forward has what it takes.
Tkachuk then offered some stunning commentary, noting how Matthews is great on both ends of the ice. He also claimed that he thinks Matthews has been great, contrary to popular belief.
«I think he's been playing really well this whole series. He's a force at both ends I got to see it-his leadership at the 4 Nations he leads by example it's tough to shut down a guy like that he's one of the best in the world, so we've got our work cut out for us.»
Tonight is going to be a legacy game for Auston Matthews and Leafs fans are hoping that he brings some urgency to this one.
If he doesn't and the Leafs lose, then there are going to be a whole lot of detractors feeling very vindicated about all of this.
The Carolina Hurricanes are waiting in the Eastern Conference Finals and we can't wait to see what the official matchup will be. Hopefully, the Leafs are involved.
If they are not, then there will be some big changes made in the offseason.
