Max Domi Faces Severe Punishment from the NHL After Boarding Aleksander Barkov

Sunday night was not a good one for the Toronto Maple Leafs as they lost to the Florida Panthers by a score of 2-0 in what was a pretty pitiful game as far as offense is concerned.

However, it was also a physical and chippy game that had a lot of fans upset with the Florida Panthers.

Even the Leafs themselves were getting frustrated and it led to a bad play from Max Domi at the end of the game as he shoved Aleksander Barkov into the boards, head first.

Domi was assessed a five-minute major for this play and now, there is talk that he could be looked at by the Department of Player Safety.

Of course, there have already been allegations that the NHL's front office is biased against the Toronto Maple Leafs, so there are fears that Domi could miss a game here.

However, the Florida Panthers have done much worse in this series, and the Department of Player Safety hasn't done anything.

At this point, no one knows what is going to happen, but there is no doubt that this is on the DoPS's radar right now.

Meanwhile, the Leafs and Panthers are now all tied at two games apiece and it feels like there is going to be an all out war in Game 5 which will go down in Toronto.

As for Max Domi, losing him would not be ideal, although David Kampf would likely get the call to replace him at center.

Wednesday night's game 5 should be a good one and we can only hope that the Leafs will elevate their offensive game. If they don't, then this series is over.
