Ryan Reaves's Comments About Mitch Marner Will Upset Toronto Maple Leafs Fans

Toronto Maple Leafs enforcer Ryan Reaves recently did an interview where he had some peculiar comments about forward Mitch Marner and the fans in Toronto.
Ryan Reaves is someone who always speaks his mind, and he is not going to tailor his words to what people want to hear. If he has something real to say, he's going to say it.
Unfortunately, this is not always to the benefit or the approval of Toronto Maple Leafs fans, who can sometimes be a bit too sensitive when it comes to these matters.
Having said all that, Reaves was recently on the 'Cam & Strick Podcast,' where he made some interesting comments about former teammate Mitch Marner.

Mitch Marner is now a member of the Las Vegas Golden Knights, and some Maple Leafs fans despise him for it. However, Reaves is partially responsible, as he was one of the people who recommended Vegas to Marner while this process played out.
When asked about Marner, Reaves simply stated that he had every right to leave. Furthermore, he feels as though Leafs fans were a bit too harsh towards the forward.

This kind of honesty tells us that Reaves barely even considers himself a part of the team anymore. He spent the second half of the season with the Toronto Marlies, and as it stands, the Leafs are trying to trade him.
Ultimately, it seems as though Reaves' heart is still in Las Vegas, where he arguably had the best years of his career.
Now, at 38, Reaves is on his last legs. While he wants to reach 1000 career games, that feels very unlikely given everything that has gone down as of late.
Only time will tell whether or not Reaves can get it together and find himself back in an NHL lineup.
