Seattle Kraken star could be perfect trade target for the Toronto Maple Leafs

Overall, the Toronto Maple Leafs are a team that is currently struggling with their depth and they could certainly use a trade target to get some fans energized.
Well, it seems like the Seattle Kraken could very well provide the Leafs with the relief that they are so desperately looking for. We say that because there is a believe that guys like Yanni Gourde would want out of Seattle.
"Seravalli says Seattle has too many forwards and he's being told if everyone stays healthy they are going to have to move someone in the coming weeks. Names Gourde and Tanev who are pending UFAs."
As Chris Gerics of Hockey Patrol explained, Gourde is someone who definitely brings a lot to the tabs. His physicality is off the charts and he can actually put the puck in the back of the net, which is always helpful.
"A three-time 20-goal scorer, Gourde would provide Toronto with the offensive help they seek plus give them a gritty, tough defensive center who isn't afraid to drop the gloves or throw his small frame around; averaging nearly 96 hits per season for his career."
In the tweet above, you can see just how bad the Leafs depth players have been. Goals have been hard to come by, and that is even true for all of the guys on the first and second line. Having said that, the team needs to get things figured out, and fast. Otherwise, questions about this team's composition are going to come down hard.
