The Toronto Maple Leafs and their general manager Brad Treliving are desperate for a new center and there is a player on the Philadelphia Flyers who fits the bill.
Scott Laughton is a center who has been solid this season for the Philadelphia Flyers this season as he currently has 9 goals and 13 assists in 40 games.
He is a productive Center, and he even scored a goal against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday night.
Scott Laughton on the Toronto Maple Leafs radar
The Maple Leafs have made it very clear that they are looking for a third-line Center, and it would appear as though
Laughton is the perfect candidate.
In fact, David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period has come out and made the claim that the Leafs are among a group of teams who are very interested in the Flyers player.
The Leafs, along with other teams, are expected to «poke around» at Flyers forward Scott Laughton as the trade deadline approaches.
The forward who scored against the Leafs last night is a player Toronto has been interested in the past, even going so far as to try to acquire him in the last few seasons.
If Robertson were to move on, then the Leafs would move
Max Domi to the win, with any new Center coming in and taking his place.
Of course, this would be a huge move that would solidify the Maple Leafs as a team that is ready for a playoff run.
However, there is no telling what Brad Treliving is going to do as a lot of teams are going to try and play hard ball.
