Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Ben Danford is currently playing with the Oshawa Generals and in a game against the Ottawa 67s, he suffered a pretty bad injury.
They would love a puck moving defenseman who can also play shutdown defense, and Danford has certainly proven to be that guy so far.

Unfortunately, the defenseman suffered an injury over the weekend as his Oshaway Generals were taking on the Ottawa 67s.
At one point, 67s player Will Gerrior made a dirty play where Danford got sent flying into the boards.
According to a Twitter account that follows the Generals, the defenseman seemingly had his shoulder pop out, making his injury a gruesome one.
Gerrior was subsequently chased from the game and Danford needed to be tended to by medical staff and his teammates.
At this time, it is unknown the exact injury status of the defensman, although we are certainly wishing him well right now as he heals up.
The defenseman has four goals and 19 points in 46 games so far this season and he has a net rating of +5.
He has been solid and as the captain of the team, there is no doubt that he is showing leadership qualities at the young age of 19.
It will be interesting to see what Danford does with the Toronto Maple Leafs in the future. One can only hope he has a long and prosperous NHL career.
