Toronto Maple Leafs Now Facing Stiff Competition for Jack Roslovic

Jack Roslovic remains a free agent, and with the Toronto Maple Leafs showing interest, other Canadian teams appear to be in the mix.
One of the most bizarre storylines of the offseason so far has been Jack Roslovic, who has yet to sign a deal with an NHL team, despite having 22 goals last season.
With 39 points in 2024-25, you would think that the forward would be a hot commodity in the NHL this offseason, but that just hasn't been the case so far.
That said, the Toronto Maple Leafs have been showcasing some real interest, and there have been some conversations about speeding the process along.
Where is Jack Roslovic going?
Recently, Frank Seravalli hosted a show on Bleacher Report, where he gave his take on the Roslovic situation and one of the other Canadian teams that are a good fit.
As it turns out, the Vancouver Canucks are very interested, and as far as a fit is concerned, they absolutely make the most sense right now.

If you are the Toronto Maple Leafs, it is probably best to just let Roslovic go at this point. He is redundant given the fact that the Leafs have so many bottom-six players.
That said, we do hope to see Roslovic get a new contract soon. He is absolutely deserving of one, and it wouldn't make sense for the NHL to continue rejecting him.
Overall, free agency can be a nerve-racking time for players, and there are always a couple of guys who get left out.
For now, it feels as though Roslovic will be the guy dealing with this reality for a few more weeks. If the NHL doesn't work out, the KHL will always be there.
