MLSE, the ownership group behind the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors, is under fire after announcing what appears to be a major collab with the WWE.

Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment has been on a roll as of late. They just had a successful postseason run with the Toronto Blue Jays, and now, the franchise looks like a perennial contender.
Meanwhile, MLSE has been engaging in numerous partnerships that have the potential to make the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors household names on an International level.
Unfortunately, their latest partnership is catching a ton of heat on social media. As you will read, the ownership group is now in business with the WWE.

MLSE and the WWE are in business

In fact, according to a new statement, WWE will be performing Monday Night Raw in Toronto on January 26th.
Maple Leafs players will be at the event, while WWE wrestlers will be at the Toronto Maple Leafs games at Scotiabank Arena on January 24th and January 27th.
There will also be exclusive Raptors and Maple Leafs x WWE merch made, and many of these pieces will actually be championship belt replicas.
Unfortunately for MLSE, there are a lot of fans who are not too pleased with MLSE over this new deal. Some cite the fact that the WWE is a business with a shady past.
Furthermore, some believe this is a slap in the face to AEW, which just put on a show in Toronto, and may no longer be able to do so.
At the end of the day, fans are not happy, and that can be a PR nightmare for MLSE, although it doesn't seem like they care too much.
It would appear as though this is going to continue, regardless of what the consensus says. Pen has been put to paper, and that's that.
