Air Canada is officially back in business, and some of their pilots seem to be exceptionally bullish on the Toronto Maple Leafs winning the Stanley Cup.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have not won a Stanley Cup in 58 years, and fans of the team are starting to lose patience about the team's failures.
Every year, there are fans who are pessimistic heading into the season, while there are other fans who take an optimistic tone about things.
Overall, the consensus going into this upcoming season is that the Maple Leafs are not going to win much of anything, especially without Mitch Marner.
However, there are some overzealous fans out there who are making some wild predictions about the team. Some of those fans even work for Air Canada.

Air Canada predicts the Stanley Cup

According to Elliotte Friedman, an Air Canada pilot bringing players back from the European Media Tour in Italy, is calling for a Leafs Stanley Cup victory.
Pilot on Air Canada flight home from Milan, upon landing:

«Welcome to Torontohome of the future Stanley Cup champion Maple Leafs.»
To be fair, the pilot said that the Maple Leafs will win in the future. They did not specify when the team will be victorious, which is interesting.
Going into this season, Toronto Maple Leafs fans should probably temper their expectations. They are very unlikely to do something significant.
Having said that, this is a year to build, and with so many new players on the roster, there is a chance for this team to establish a new identity.
No matter what, we are just excited to see the Maple Leafs play hockey again.
