Elliotte Friedman Suggests the Toronto Maple Leafs are Pursuing a Jack Roslovic Trade

Jack Roslovic is currently with the Edmonton Oilers, although a report from Elliotte Friedman suggests that the Maple Leafs are still very much in play.
Toronto Maple Leafs fans were waiting for the team to sign
Jack Roslovic during free agency, but it never ended up happening. Instead, Roslovic started the season without a team.
He is only making $1.5 million per season, which is very palatable for any team that needs a guy who can give you 20 goals per year.
However, as it turns out, the Oilers may soon be done with Roslovic. According to Elliotte Friedman, with
Zach Hyman returning soon, both sides may have to do a happiness check in.
Jack Roslovic and the Oilers have a deadline
If that happens, Friedman claims that there are four teams on Roslovic's trade list, and one of them just so happens to be the Toronto Maple Leafs. Or, at least we can deduce that based on what Friedman noted about who's interested.
November 1st...about the time Hyman comes back, it becomes a 4 team trade list; it's almost...a trial to see if everybody's happy here, and I assume the teams on that list are the teams that were also looking at him
The Maple Leafs could probably trade a draft pick or an AHL prospect for Roslovic, especially with his value lower than ever these days.
However, Roslovic has yet to get a chance to play for the Oilers, and when he does, he could potentially show the team why he needs to stay.
This is going to be a fascinating situation to watch play out, and the entire NHL is going to be looking to see how things pan out.
If you are a Maple Leafs fan, however, you are probably hoping to see Roslovic fail in Edmonton so the team can get their hands on him.
