John Tavares Sends a Message to William Nylander Amid Disappointing Start

Former Toronto Maple Leafs captain John Tavares is incredibly well-respected, and there is no doubt that his words resonate in the eyes of guys like William Nylander.
William Nylander has not been very good to start the NHL season, and his head coach even called him out for it after a bad game against the Detroit Red Wings.
Tonight, the forward has a chance to get back on the right foot as the Leafs are taking on the Nashville Predators in what should be an interesting game.
The Maple Leafs have to win, otherwise, they will have lost three in a row, and the whole fanbase is going to hammer the panic button.
John Tavares speaks on William Nylander's struggles
John Tavares, on the other hand, is remaining completely calm about things. As he told the media today, there is nothing to worry about when it comes to Nylander.
In fact, he praised the forward for always handling the pressure with grace, even when that wasn't always going to be the easiest thing to do. He also made it clear that Willy will hold himself accountable.
That's why Willy does tremendously well in this market, more than anyone he'll look at himself in the mirror and know he can do more and do better we know what he's capable of and his ability to respond
This has not been an easy start to the season for the Maple Leafs, but there is no denying that the team can get it together if they try.
There are parts of this team that can work extremely well. It's just that the team is not playing with the correct sense of urgency.
That could change tonight, especially against a team that they should be able to beat, and by a lot, too.
For William Nylander, this is a great opportunity to go out and score a few goals to shut the doubters up.
