Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk just got some devastating news that could help out the Toronto Maple Leafs and the rest of the Atlantic Division.
There is no denying that the Ottawa Senators are the biggest rival to the
Toronto Maple Leafs. Both of these teams hate each other, and for good reason.
This season, the Battle of Ontario is actually going to be pretty interesting. Why? Well, it's all because the Senators have a good team now.
They made the playoffs last year and were knocked out by the Leafs. Now, the Senators are real contenders to possibly win the Atlantic Division altogether.
However, that is going to be a lot harder now, thanks to some news that is coming out of Ottawa today. Senators captain Brady Tkachuk will miss significant time with an injury.

According to Senators head coach Travis Green, the forward will even miss about a month of time, which is a huge setback for that franchise.
Brady Tkachuk is going to out for a significant amount of time - 4 weeks according to Travis Green.
If you are a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, this is obviously great news, as it means that the team will have a bit less competition over the next few weeks.
Regardless, the Maple Leafs have their own issues right now. They have been terrible to start the season, and they need to get back on track.
The Nashville Predators give them that opportunity tonight, although there is no telling whether or not the Maple Leafs can make something happen here.
Only time will tell whether or not the Leafs can finally get it going tonight against an opponent they should be able to beat.
