Steven Lorentz was a mainstay on the Toronto Maple Leafs' fourth line last season, and his current absence is proof of just how much the team needs him.
On Saturday night against the Detroit Red Wings,
Steven Lorentz got hit up high by
Ben Chiarot, and it led to an upper-body injury that kept him out for the rest of the game.
Going into Tuesday's game against the Nashville Predators, there has been a hope that the Leafs would be able to get Lorentz back, especially following recent comments made by head coach Craig Berube.
Just moments ago, the Maple Leafs got their answer when it comes to Lorentz, and unfortunately, it was not good news at all.

According to Mark Masters, Lorentz was skating with the projected healthy scratches, which include guys like Sammy Blais and
Philippe Myers.
Due to this extra workout, it is expected that Lorentz will not be in the lineup. Instead, the team will run the exact same guys as Monday.
Whether or not the lines stay the same for the Maple Leafs still remains to be seen. That said, the Maple Leafs need to get themselves back on track.
They have not been good over the past couple of games, and the fans are not feeling good about this roster going into the rest of the season.
As for Lorentz, we can only hope that he comes back to the team sooner rather than later, as the Leafs need him now more than ever.
This is going to be a long October if we can't get him back soon.
