Last week, the Toronto Maple Leafs claimed Cayden Primeau and Sammy Blais off waivers. Now, one of them will finally get to play against the Nashville Predators.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are not having a phenomenal start to the NHL season thus far, and a lot of fans are starting to get antsy about what's going on.
The team's speed has also been a problem, and it just feels like this Leafs team is lagging behind in all facets of the game, which is a real problem.
Thankfully, the Leafs have another shot to get themselves back to .500 on Tuesday evening, as they take on the Nashville Predators.
After having played against the Detroit Red Wings on Monday, the Leafs are finally giving goaltender
Anthony Stolarz a bit of a break. That means their new goalie will get a shot to make his debut.
Toronto Maple Leafs give Cayden Primeau a chance
Of course, we are talking about
Cayden Primeau, who was acquired on waivers from the Carolina Hurricanes at the top of last week.
He has yet to make a start for the Leafs, but that all changes today as he is tasked with bringing the Leafs back to where they need to be.
This is not going to be an easy game for the goaltender, and if you are a Maple Leafs fan, you are probably a little bit nervous about his debut.
Having said that, the Maple Leafs are going to be motivated to prove that they are still a good team and that two losses to the Red Wings won't define them.
If the Leafs lose again on Tuesday, then we can only imagine what the fallout is going to be.
