Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube is not happy with his team right now, and specifically, he has some pointed words towards forward William Nylander.

The Toronto Maple Leafs lost again today, as the Detroit Red Wings defeated the Leafs by a score of 3-2.
This win was propelled by a last-minute goal in which the Red Wings scored with 45 seconds left. It was a heartbreaker, and it was a waste of a debut for Easton Cowan.
After the game, head coach Craig Berube spoke to the media, where he was asked about various players and their effort throughout the match.

Craig Berube honest about William Nylander

Berube was particularly harsh when it came to William Nylander, who only has three shots on goal through three games this season.
He went pointless against the Detroit Red Wings, and his line with John Tavares was absolutely anemic. With Matias Maccelli, things did not look good.
We need more out of him.
Now, the Leafs have two losses in a row on their record, and they aren't looking so good right now. It's a harsh reality, and the fans aren't feeling good.
While there is no reason to sound the alarm just yet, the Leafs do play the Nashville Predators on Tuesday, and fans will be looking for a win.
If they can't make that happen, then a conversation is going to have to be had. Craig Berube has already called one team meeting, and he might need to call another one.
As for Nylander, he will have to take his head coach's words to heart, and put up a much better effort.
