Alex Ovechkin Hilariously Roasts a Toronto Maple Leafs Legend

Alex Ovechkin broke the record for most goals in the history of the NHL last weekend and it was a special moment that people will remember for a very long time.

To celebrate this event, Budweiser decided to send special beer cans to all of the goaltenders that played against Ovi but never let him score on them.

One of those goaltenders was Curtis Joseph who got to play against Ovechkin while wearing a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey.

Joseph took to Twitter where he proudly posed with his beer can. It was a wholesome moment that showcased just how proud and grateful he was to be part of a historical NHL moment.

However, Ovechkin was not going to let himself get outdone. In fact, he returned to Twitter after a years-long hiatus, just so he could roast Joseph.

Ovechkin's statistics are absolutely ridiculous and it is hard to believe he has been able to accomplish what he has at the highest level of hockey. Wayne Gretzky's record was supposed to be untouchable.

In the end, Ovi proved that records are meant to be broken, even if those records appear to be unfathomable. It is just very cool to see someone do this at this stage in their career.

If you are an Ovechkin fan, you will get to see him in the playoffs, where the expectation is that theh Capitals make the Eastern Conference Finals.

As for Curtis Joseph, we're sure he will be cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs who also have a solid chance of making a fairly deep run.
