Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz very famously went off on his teammates this past weekend, but he hasn't been much better.
Anthony Stolarz was one of the best goalies in the NHL last season, although this season, there is no doubt that he has struggled throughout the first six games.
He has a record of 2-3-1, a goals-against average of 3.01, and a save percentage of .894. None of this is on par with last season's results.
Maple Leafs fans put Anthony Stolarz on blast
After letting in a few weak goals last night, Stolarz revealed that there was only one goal he wanted back, which was the
Jack Hughes slapshot.
There's one I want back, and that's that huge slap shot.
However, fans were much harsher, saying that he should have been a lot better after calling out his teammates in such a public manner.
So this guy shits on his team. Then lets that shot go in
Does that give Matthews or Nylander an excuse to go in front of the cameras and throw their goalie under the bus?
Shoulda had more then one when you are airing dirty laundry in public
The start to this season has been a real mess for the Maple Leafs, and there is no denying that they need to figure some things out here.
When it comes to Stolarz, he has not been good enough, and that has to change for this team to be even moderately successful.
