Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz is someone who is very realistic about his own performance, and he will never let himself be any different.

Anthony Stolarz certainly had everyone talking last week as he delivered a brutal assessment of his Toronto Maple Leafs teammates.
Craig Berube, William Nylander, and Auston Matthews have all weighed in on the situation, and as it stands, the team is moving on without any problems.
However, there are certainly some fans out there who aren't so sure about where Stolarz is going to stand in the locker room going forward.

Thankfully, the goaltender took accountability while speaking to Nick Barden of The Hockey News, and we imagine that will go a very long way in the locker room.
As you will read below, Stolarz is not happy with his own play, and he just wants to make sure that he can stop the puck next time.
"I get paid to stop the puck too. At the end of the day, it's on me as well. For me, it's a simple job, get in front of the puck and stop it," Stolarz said. "There's the instances where as a goalie you've got to come up big. Right there was a prime example. For me going forward, my main focus is going out there, stopping the puck, giving this team a chance to compete every night. I think the guys are looking forward to getting out there tomorrow."
Anthony Stolarz and the entire Toronto Maple Leafs roster need to be better from this point forward, and unfortunately, that is a lot easier said than done.
However, there are some positives with this team. After all, it's not like they have lost all six games to start the NHL season.
They have a record of 3-2-1, and if they win tonight against the New Jersey Devils, they have a real opportunity to prove themselves to the rest of the league.
Only time will tell whether or not Stolarz can put together a performance where he completely carries his teammates.
