Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll got a shutout on Friday night, and afterward, he got the ultimate compliment from his captain, Auston Matthews.
Joseph Woll turned aside 22 shots on Friday night in a pivotal Game 6 victory that extended the Leafs' season by at least one more game.
Overall, he was spectacular, and he got some help from forwards Auston Matthews and Max Pacioretty, who both had goals in the game.
Now, with Game 7 on the horizon, Woll is going to need to reset and understand that Sunday night is a brand-new game.

Sunday night will be the biggest game of Woll's career. In fact, the same can be said for guys like Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner, who are trying to rid themselves of some unsavory labels.
At the end of the day, these guys need to deliver, and that's it. There isn't much else to it.
If they deliver, then they will be left alone. However, if they don't, then some difficult decisions are going to need to be made.
Either way, it is going to be fascinating and Maple Leafs fans will be very excited to watch it all go down.
