Auston Matthews Reveals How He Really Feels About Playing the Ottawa Senators in the NHL Playoffs

Last night was a huge game for the Toronto Maple Leafs as they played the Buffalo Sabres with the Atlantic Division title on the line.

They ended up winning the game by a score of 4-0 and proved to the hockey world that they have what it takes to win their division, even against teams like the Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning.

Auston Matthews was a big contributor in the game as he managed a goal and an assist. The goal just so happened to be the 400th of his NHL career.

Now, the Toronto Maple Leafs are set to take on the Ottawa Senators in the first round of the NHL Playoffs and it should be an interesting matchup.

The Sens outplayed the Leafs in all of their games against each other this season, although the playoffs are a completely different beast, especially with the Leafs playing their best hockey right now.

That said, Matthews is very excited about this upcoming matchup, telling reporters after last night's game that all of this is good for the sport.

Of all the first round series, this will certainly be the most talked about one. While there is the Battle of Florida, it doesn't have the same amount of aura.

Meanwhile, the Leafs and Senators series may just be one of the best we have seen in literal years. These two teams despise each other and that makes for entertainment.

The Leafs have high expectations this season and the fans are going to want to see a quick win with very little troubles.

From there, they will have to play either the Tampa Bay Lightning or the Florida Panthers. They have been great against Tampa this season, which makes this matchup the preferred one.
