Brad Marchand Directly Responds to Insider's Report About Signing with the Maple Leafs

Florida Panthers forward Brad Marchand is set to become a free agent on July 1st, and the Toronto Maple Leafs will be looking to pounce with an offer he can't refuse.
Brad Marchand is going to be one of the most sought-after free agents in over a week from now, and the fans in Toronto are hoping he becomes a Leaf.
Every single insider is claiming the Leafs have interest, while people like Nick Kypreos are acting as though it is already a done deal.
Meanwhile, Marchand is celebrating his Stanley Cup victory with lots of alcohol and some suspicious social media posts that will rile up Leafs fans.
Brad Marchand addresses joining the Toronto Maple Leafs
The Leafs Nation on Instagram recently posted the clip from 'Leafs Morning Take,' in which Nick Kypreos commented that Marchand would be a Leaf.
Marchand found himself in the replies to this Instagram post, where he simply commented "sh*t dawg...the people wanna see it???"
Clearly, the former Bruins forward is acknowledging the fact that the Toronto Maple Leafs want him, and that the interest is somewhat mutual.
If you are a fan of the Leafs, you can't help but feel like Marchand is trolling you. However, you also can't help but feel like perhaps Marchy is seriously contemplating coming back home to Canada.
Reports suggest the former Bruins captain is demanding $8 million per season and a four-year deal. This is a lot of money for a 37-year-old, but as we saw in the playoffs, he's worth it.
Leafs Nation will simply have to be patient if they are truly interested in Marchand. The forward is not going to make a decision this weekend, or even this week.
One has to assume his first choice will be the Florida Panthers. Bill Zito wants to get the gang back together, and if that happens, Marchand will have a great shot at winning another championship.
