After claiming Cayden Primeau off waivers on Monday, the Toronto Maple Leafs are now facing major questions about their goaltender, Joseph Woll.
Joseph Woll is someone who the Toronto Maple Leafs fanbase is very concerned about right now, especially when you consider everything he is going through.
Moments ago, Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving revealed that Woll is progressing, but there is no update on a potential timeframe for return.
Brad Treliving says things are progressing well with Joseph Woll but had no other update on the goalie's timeframe for returning to the club.
For now, Cayden Primeau and
Anthony Stolarz will be the goaltenders for the Toronto Maple Leafs to start the season.
Of course, Stolarz will be the starter while Primeau is going to be the backup. He brings with him some NHL experience, which will bode well throughout the first month of the season.
What's next for Joseph Woll and the Toronto Maple Leafs?
When Joseph Woll returns to the Toronto Maple Leafs, he will have to wait a few weeks before joining the lineup, as he needs to get in shape.
Woll has been sidelined since training camp, and the Maple Leafs won't want a cold goalie going between the pipes during the regular season.
Having said that, once he gets up to speed, we're sure he is going to be just fine.
After all, he and Stolarz combined for one of the best goaltending tandems in the entire NHL last season.
