Calle Jarnkrok hit with disappointing injury setback
Toronto Maple Leafs center Calle Jarnkrok has been dealing with a very difficult injury recently as he has a sports hernia.
Overall, these are the kinds of injuries that can take weeks or even months to recover from. We saw this with
Evander Kane who even had to get surgery.
According to Brad Treliving, the Maple Leafs center has faced a pretty significant setback.
This setback is so severe that he must now travel to New York City where he is going to meet with a specialist to figure this out.
Brad Treliving gives an update on Calle Jarnkrok
"Treliving also said that forward Calle Jarnkrok has suffered a setback in his recovery from a sports hernia that has forced him to be sidelined since training camp. The 33-year-old is expected to travel to New York to see a specialist."
Despite all of this, the team has won three matches in a row. These wins came against the Detroit Red Wings, Boston Bruins, and Montreal Canadiens.
Tonight, the Maple Leafs are set to take on none other than the Ottawa Senators. This should prove to be a good match as the Battle of Ontario is always a big deal.
A win would continue to boost the Leafs morale. They are on a roll and it seems like Craig Berube's coaching is starting to take shape.
As for Jarnkrok, we wish him a speedy recovery amidst this awful injury.
