William Nylander has been the top goal-scorer on the Maple Leafs this season as he has 33 goals and 58 points in 58 games.
Unfortunately, despite playing 21 minutes against the Boston Bruins on Tuesday, Nylander did not get to see the ice during the overtime period.
After the game, Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube was asked about this, and it led to a concerning answer as the coach revealed that something was "bothering" Nylander.
Craig Berube says
Chris Tanev will need to be evaluated, didn't have a further update than that.
He also said something was bothering William Nylander, which kept him out of the overtime session.
Berube was not specific about what the injury was and whether or not it is something that will keep the forward out for a prolonged period of time.
Having said that, fans should definitely be a bit concerned by the other update from last night, in which Chris Tanev was seen leaving the arena in a sling on his right arm.
Tanev is very important to this team and if he is out for a long period of time, then the Leafs could very well be in for a world of hurt.
The Maple Leafs are currently on a three-game winning streak and will take on the
New York Rangers on Friday in what could end up being a first-round playoff preview.
