Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube has decided to go with Anthony Stolarz against the Columbus Blue Jackets and fans are curious as to why.
Anthony Stolarz has been sensational over his last few starts and fans have been clamoring for him to become the starting goaltender for the playoffs.
Today, it was revealed that the goaltender would get his second start in a row after a huge win against the Florida Panthers.
The Columbus Blue Jackets are a team that the Maple Leafs have had trouble with all season long and playing Stolarz in this match sends a message.

While the reasons for starting Stolarz are pretty obvious, fans wanted to hear it from Craig Berube himself.
While speaking to reporters, the head coach noted that he felt like the back-to-back games between the Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning this week were a good catalyst to give Stolarz a start today.
«I liked his last game a lot, and I just think I can get him into consecutive games,» he explained. "Then we have a back-to-back series against the Florida teams. Really, that's all the thinking that went into it. I'm just trying to find a little consistency here moving forward. I'll have to split them over the next two games, and then we'll go from there.»
Regardless, you can read between the lines here and quickly realize that the Leafs are sending a message that they know who should be the starter in the postseason.
A 2.34 goals-against average and .920 save percentage is enough to win you a Stanley Cup these days, so the Leafs should just go with Anthony Stolarz.
If he falters, Joseph Woll will be there to pick up the slack as he is more than a good enough goaltender.
Either way, this is going to be a fascinating ending to the season and we cannot wait to see whether or not the Leafs are able to make a deep run.
