Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube recently spoke up about John Tavares and the headshot he took from Artem Zub of the Ottawa Senators.

On Saturday night during Game 4 of the Toronto Maple Leafs' first round series against the Ottawa Senators, John Tavares was injured after a hit from Artem Zub.
Tavares was actually hit pretty hard in the head and many felt like it was a blindside elbow that should have been punished. However, the referees and the NHL ignored it.
While the former Maple Leafs captain did return to the game eventually, the outcome could have been much more devastating and it could have changed the outcome of the entire series.

Craig Berube talks Artem Zub

Today, John Tavares was on the ice with the Toronto Maple Leafs for what was a productive practice prior to Game 5 on Tuesday in Toronto.
Craig Berube faced the media afterward and gave his take on the Zub hit which has stirred up all kinds of debates on social media.
As you will see in the quote below, the head coach was not impressed whatsoever and did not hold back his opinion on what he saw.
«Looked like a head shot to me.»
Going into Game 5, the Toronto Maple Leafs know that the stakes are high and with that being said, they want all of their players to be healthy.
That is hard to do if guys on the Senators are going to head hunt and try to do the most insidious things possible to get a leg up.
Whatever the case may be, a win on Tuesday ends the series and propels the Leafs into the next round. Fans will be hopeful that they get it done.
If not, then Game 6 goes down in Ottawa on Thursday and that game will be even harder to win.
