Last night, Stolarz was eventually released from the hospital, and this morning,
he joined his teammates for breakfast. These were positive updates but there is still a ton of concern surrounding the netminder.
Craig Berube update on Anthony Stolarz
Today, head coach Craig Berube addressed the media, and it was here where he gave a bit of a shocking update on Stolarz.
Despite all of the odds, it would appear as though the goaltender is still a consideration for Game 2 on Wednesday night. That said, Berube is confident in
Joseph Woll to get the win.
Craig Berube hasn't ruled Stolarz out for Game 2 yet but strongly reiterates his faith in Joseph Woll.
Quite frankly, it seems completely unfathomable that Anthony Stolarz would even be a consideration for tomorrow night. But clearly, he has recovered fast.
Rushing your goaltender back only to have him suffer a worse injury would be devastating, and the Maple Leafs should be exercising caution here.
Either way, the Leafs are in a very good position right now. The last time they played the Panthers in the playoffs, they were down 3-0 in the series. Now, they are up 1-0.
Only time will tell whether or not it is Stolarz or Woll in net come Wednesday night.
