Dakota Joshua Reveals What's Changed Between His First & Second Stints with the Maple Leafs

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Dakota Joshua was drafted by the franchise in 2014, and over 10 years later, he is finally going to play a game for the team.
If you are a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, then you know that Dakota Joshua was technically already a part of the team many years ago.
Overall, the Maple Leafs drafted the forward in the fifth round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, although they ultimately let him walk.
The forward eventually played for the St. Louis Blues, where he was coached by current Leafs bench boss Craig Berube.
Eventually, Joshua went to the Vancouver Canucks where he has seen the majority of his success. A few weeks ago, he was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

During an episode of 'Leafs Morning Take,' Joshua spoke about returning to Toronto, and what has changed over the course of the last 11 years.
When you're young, you're just kind of happy to be around-putting on the Leafs development camp gear and getting a feel for things, not really realizing all the steps it takes to actually make the team one day.
So now, having a couple of years under my belt and really coming into my own, it means a lot to be joining the Leafs at this point and help go get a Cup.

The forward also spoke about how he wants to do right by the franchise and will stop at nothing to show the fans that he will do anything on the ice.
From scoring goals to being a shutdown defender, Joshua is ready to lay it all out on the line for the Leafs, and you have to appreciate a guy like that.
Overall, he is looking to bounce back from last season, and the Leafs are certainly providing him with the correct space to do such a thing.
Only time will tell whether or not Joshua is someone who sticks around with the Leafs for the long haul.
