Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nick Robertson is heading to arbitration, and the latest update on the player has some Leafs fans yearning for this to be over.
Nick Robertson had 15 goals and seven assists with the Toronto Maple Leafs last season, and there is no doubt that he had himself some solid outings.
However, the forward is now a restricted free agent who is going to arbitration in just a few days. This means he is likely to get a raise, despite there not being much space for him on the roster.
It has been reported that Robertson is trade bait, but no one knows which teams will take him.
Nick Robertson has arbitration soon
Today, it was revealed that Robertson will be the final player to go to arbitration. The hearings for players around the league have been ongoing all week, and Robertson is slated for August 3rd.
With other players getting deals, many feel as though the Leafs' forward is running the team ragged, especially in light of how things played out last Summer.
As a result, there is quite a bit of distaste for Robertson right now, particularly on X, where Leafs Nation can be brutal.
