Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi had a difficult season with the team, and now, it is being said by Darren Dreger that his reign could be coming to an end.
Max Domi is a forward who had a very difficult season with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2024-25. Overall, he only had eight goals and 33 points.
Not to mention, he was consistently played at center, which is a position he mostly struggled with. On top of all of this, he was making $3.75 million last season.
In fact, Domi will be making this salary for three more seasons, and he is only set to become an unrestricted free agent in 2028.
Will the Toronto Maple Leafs trade Max Domi?
Domi's salary is quite high given his production, and there have been rumblings that the Leafs might try to move him, even despite his trade protections.
These rumblings were all but confirmed by Darren Dreger, who revealed this past week that Domi is one of the players who could be moved before training camp.

Domi loves the Maple Leafs, and he has that familial connection with his father Tie. Only time will tell whether or not Brad Treliving makes a move.
This offseason is a headache for the Leafs, and that probably won't be changing anytime soon.
