The Toronto Maple Leafs are starting their NHL Playoffs journey and if you were to ask EA Sports, they may just find themselves with a championship in June.
Overall, the Toronto Maple Leafs are one of the best teams in the entire NHL this season and they are looking to use that to propel themselves to Stanley Cup glory.
Their playoff run begins tomorrow against the Ottawa Senators and there is a real possibility that this team goes deep into the postseason.
However, it is not going to be that easy. Instead, the team is going to be tasked with numerous challenges as the season goes on and that does not bode well for the team.
Will the Toronto Maple Leafs win the Stanley Cup?
Luckily, there are plenty of pundits who see this team going on an exceptionally deep run. While the more cynical fan isn't so sure, there are others who just straight up disagree.
Today, EA Sports NHL decided to come through with a simulation of the entire playoffs and while these aren't always accurate, they do tell a story.
For instance, this latest simulation claims that the Toronto Maple Leafs are going to win the Stanley Cup and they will do so against the Colorado Avalanche.
This feels very unlikely but you never know. The Eastern Conference is wide open this season and there is a real shot the Leafs can get through it.
However, it also should be said that there are some difficult matchup here and that nothing is guaranteed when it comes to the NHL Playoffs.
Regardless, the Maple Leafs have a huge opportunity here and we hope to see them take full advantage of it, especially given who is in front of them.
A Finals series against the Avalanche would be epic and based on previous results this season, the Leafs could certainly win. However, it is not going to be easy.
