Former Toronto Maple Leafs Forward Hits Rock Bottom and Signs in Australia

There have been numerous players to hit the ice for the Toronto Maple Leafs, and now, one of them will play for the Melbourne Ice of the Australian Ice Hockey League.
If you are a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, then you may remember the name David Booth. Overall, Booth played for the Leafs during the 2014-15 campaign.
Although he didn't make a huge impact with 13 points in 59 games, he still had a pretty decent NHL career.
He had 124 goals and 236 points in 530 career games. Moreover, he got to play with teams like the Florida Panthers, Vancouver Canucks, and even the Detroit Red Wings.
During one of his seasons in Florida, Booth scored 31 goals, which is certainly an impressive accomplishment.

However, over the last few years, Booth has found himself in hockey obscurity as he played in the KHL as well as the DEL second division.
Now, David Booth is exploring a brand-new hockey opportunity as he has officially signed a contract with the Melbourne Ice of the Australian Ice Hockey League.
The Australian Ice Hockey League is actually a lot more popular than one might assume. Australia has become a beacon for hockey as of late, and the fans love it a lot.
However, at 40 years old, one has to wonder how much Booth can take as far as the physical demands of the game.
Given the heights he reached in the NHL, one can't help but feel as though this is a rock-bottom moment. Although others will realize that playing hockey in Australia is a sweet gig.
