Insider Drops a Bombshell Amid Morgan Rielly Trade Talks

Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly is currently being linked in numerous trade rumors, and one insider seems to have the inside track.
It has been harped on quite a bit as of late, but many Toronto Maple Leafs fans feel as though Morgan Rielly has been regressing as of late.
With that in mind, numerous trade rumors have come about, and there is a real push from the fanbase to get Rielly out of Toronto as quickly as possible.
Erik Karlsson and Dougie Hamilton rumors have been coming down the pipeline at a rapid pace, and this has further led to the notion that the left-handed defenseman is on his way out.
Is Morgan Rielly leaving the Toronto Maple Leafs?
During today's episode of 'Leafs Morning Take', David Pagnotta spoke about the Rielly rumors and whether or not they have any validity to them.
As the insider explains, the Leafs broached the subject with Rielly during exit meetings this year. But for now, there is no telling how that conversation actually went.
He's also led to believe there was brief discussion with Morgan Rielly at the exit meetings regarding his NMC. He doesn't know where that conversation went though
Overall, it feels very unlikely that Morgan Rielly will be moved before the beginning of next season. After all, he has a no-move clause and can do what he wants.
However, the fact that the Leafs are broaching the subject is proof that they are taking this roster seriously and are exploring all of their options.
Only time will tell whether or not the Maple Leafs can fully realize their plans before the next season begins.
If they do, then there will be a ton of happy Leafs fans out there. No matter what, we will be paying attention.
