Jamie McLennan proposes ridiculous Sidney Crosby Maple Leafs trade

TSN radio host Jamie McLennan has been known to deliver some interesting hot takes over the years, and this is especially true in regards to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Overall, the Leafs are a team that currently needs some help down the middle in the center position.
Although the Leafs are winning games, they could still be a lot better at center, and general manager Brad Treliving knows this.
There are a few centers that the Maple Leafs could go after, although for some reason, Sidney Crosby is starting to get traction.
This is because the Pittsburgh Penguins are absolutely abysmal this season and some fear that Crosby is wasting the final years of his career.
That said, Crosby trade rumors are ramping up, and on OverDrive 1050, McLennan theorized what a Crosby trade to the Maple Leafs would look like.
Sidney Crosby to the Toronto Maple Leafs
McLennan believes it would take Joseph Woll and a prospect like Easton Cowan, as well as a couple of high draft picks.
"Because we're being hypothetical... I'll trade Sidney Crosby and Tristan Jarry for Joseph Woll and Easton Cowan and a first and a second first because of the term on Crosby's contract. It's a package that Tre might hang up the phone and go 'I can't make that happen'."
However, fans can immediately forget about this ever actually happening.
These are the kinds of fantasy trades you attempt in NHL 25 and then promptly get shut down.
Having said that, Crosby has a decent likelihood of demanding a trade if things do not get any better.
At this point, the Colorado Avalanche seems like the most likely option.
The Maple Leafs already have a ton of superstars and they probably can't swing another.
