Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nick Robertson wants a big role with the organization, but the latest development proves that might not be in the cards right about now.

Nick Robertson is a player who has continuously struggled to find his place in the Toronto Maple Leafs lineup, and it has been frustrating to watch.
The forward wants an increased role with the team, but unfortunately, that has not been possible for him. Subsequently, there have been rumors that the forward will be traded.
He can't get out of the bottom-six, and with Robertson looking for a top-six opportunity, there is a real chance that he asks for a trade sooner rather than later.

Nick Robertson placed on Maple Leafs fourth line

Things probably aren't going to get much better anytime soon as the Leafs revealed their lines at practice today.
As you can see, Robertson was demoted instead of promoted. He is now down on the fourth line with Steven Lorentz and Calle Jarnkrok.
It is the type of demotion that shouldn't come as a surprise when you consider how Robertson has zero goals in the first six games of the season.
Knies - Matthews - Domi
Maccelli - Tavares - Nylander
Joshua - Roy - McMann
Robertson - Lorentz - Jarnkrok

The Toronto Maple Leafs and Nick Robertson are going to need to work on some sort of solution going forward, otherwise, this is only going to get worse.
Craig Berube doesn't seem keen on giving Robertson an opportunity on the second line, and at this point, no one knows if it will ever happen.
Having said that, tomorrow night's game against the New Jersey Devils will be fascinating to watch.
