Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander dealt with a low point on Sunday against the Florida Panthers, but now, he is doing a lot better.
William Nylander was easily the best player on the Toronto Maple Leafs this season as he was an absolute scoring machine.
He finished his season with 45 goals and 84 points in 82 games, which just goes to show how valuable he was in the regular season.
In the playoffs, Nylander was a beast, however, the Leafs fell short in Game 7 against the Florida Panthers.
William Nyander shines with Team Sweden
Today, William Nylander and his teammates got to play in the Bronze Medal game against Denmark. Of course, Denmark was on a high after beating Canada in the quarter-finals.
However, they ultimately ran out of gas at the end of the tournament. Today, Sweden crushed the Danes and took home the bronze medal.
As you can see below, Nylander was looking proud of his bronze medal achievement. Although we're sure he would have preferred to play for Gold.
Now, the forward can officially begin his offseason, which is certainly going to be filled with some relaxation and maybe a bit of anxiety.
There is a chance the Leafs roster changes significantly going into next season, especially with
Mitch Marner and
John Tavares looking to negotiate new deals.
It looks like Marner might be gone, while Tavares is going to return. Luckily for the Leafs, Nylander remains under contract.
Only time will tell whether or not the Leafs can keep their team together and run it back for another Atlantic Division title.
