Maple Leafs are reportedly pursuing a Nazem Kadri trade

Throughout the early portion of the NHL season, the Toronto Maple Leafs have had to deal with quite a few injuries and there is no doubt that fans are getting a bit worried.
Leafs General Manager Brad Treliving has to find a way to get this team a better roster.
While the team is winning games, we're not so sure this roster is going to be good when it comes time for the postseason.
There are a ton of solid goal-scorers out there who could help this Leafs team rise to the occasion and one of them just so happens to be
Nazem Kadri.
As a result, it should come as no surprise that Doug MacLean recently revealed that the Leafs are seriously contemplating a Kadri trade.
So much so that he claimed that Treliving is "kicking the tires" on it.
Nazem Kadri back in Toronto
«If you're going to play against teams in the playoffs-Florida Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, New Jersey Devils, Rangers-you need a player like Kadri," MacLean said. "I know some people in Toronto think McLennan is clueless, but I'm telling you, if I'm Brad Treliving and I hear they're kicking tires-I heard today they were kicking tires there-Treliving has his hands full."
Whether or not the Calgary Flames would go for something like that is another story entirely.
They are a team that will be fighting for a playoff spot, and selling would likely be a huge mistake, especially at this point in the season.
Whatever the case may be, there is no doubt that Leafs fans would love to have Kadri back.
One issue is that he is worth $7 million per year. Simply put, the Leafs would have to give up a lot to get him.
Perhaps even a third team would be necessary for such a trade.
