Toronto Marlies Unveil Impressive 32-Man Opening Night Roster

On Friday night, the Toronto Marlies will play their first game of the season against the Rochester Americans, and we officially have the opening night roster.
After making numerous cuts, the Toronto Maple Leafs now have their roster. The team consists of veterans, and even young guys like Easton Cowan.
While the Maple Leafs system is filled with solid young players, not everyone can make the NHL team. Unfortunately, some tough decisions had to be made, and here we are.
Having said that, the Toronto Marlies kick off their season on Friday against the Rochester Americans, and fans have been curious about what the roster will look like.
Toronto Marlies look to dominate the AHL
Below, you can see what the Toronto Marlies are working with. This is a 32-man roster, and it is a nice mix of young guns and veterans.
Of course, the most intriguing players are guys like Jacob Quillan and Luke Haymes, who are two of the most likely to play games with the Leafs this season.
The defense is looking extremely strong, especially with Dakota Mermis, Henry Thrun, and Matt Benning all looking to impress the main club.
As for the goaltending, Dennis Hildeby will be the main guy, but Artur Akhtyamov certainly has an opportunity to do something special.
Either way, Friday night will be a good test, and we cannot wait to watch.
