John Tavares achieves another milestone with the Toronto Maple Leafs
Tonight was a great example of this as the Toronto Maple Leafs took on the lowly Buffalo Sabres.
It was another bad game for the Sabres, who lost to the Leafs by a score of 6-3.
During the game, John Tavares was able to capture two assists, with his second coming on the empty-netter at the end of the game.
This just so happened to be the former captain's 600th NHL assist, which makes him the 102nd player in the history of the league to hit that milestone.
John Tavares also has a total of 471 goals, which means his total points currently sits at 1,071.
This is a very impressive total, and it just goes to show that Tavares has had some great longevity during the course of his NHL career.
Meanwhile, this was just an all-around great game for the Maple Leafs who got scoring from everywhere, yet again.
Moreover,
Matt Murray picked up his first win in over 600 days, which is a great story in and of itself.
With the win, the Maple Leafs improve to 21-10-2 on the season and remain atop the Atlantic Division standings.
