Matt Murray is going to the Seattle Kraken, but on his way out, he is giving some compliments to Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll.

The Toronto Maple Leafs had the perfect goaltending situation last season, thanks to Joseph Woll and Anthony Stolarz proving to be an amazing tandem.
In the middle of the season, Stolarz got injured, and goaltender Matt Murray came in to replace him. During this time, he got to play two games.
However, the Leafs eventually went back to Woll. From there, Stolarz came back, and Matt Murray lost his opportunity.

Matt Murray speaks on Joseph Woll

Now, Murray is speaking on his time in Toronto, and just how much he loved it. He was on the 'JD Bunkis Podcast' recently, and it led to some interesting insights.
At one point, he was asked about Joseph Woll, and whether or not he was the future of the Leafs. Murray was honest, saying that Woll is the real deal.
Joe's a very interesting guy, he's very level-headed... They've got a real keeper there in my opinion.
Next season, Anthony Stolarz will likely be the starter, although we wouldn't be surprised if Joseph Woll splits the time just like this past season.
The Leafs are going to have to make a big choice next season as it pertains to the goalies. But for now, they will continue with the tandem.
As for Matt Murray, fans are rooting for him in Seattle. He has a real opportunity to establish himself again.
Only time will tell whether or not Murray can get back to his Stanley Cup winning form during his Pittsburgh Penguins days.
