Matt Murray recently signed with the Seattle Kraken after a solid season with the Toronto Marlies where he even got to suit up for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

One of the best stories of last season was easily Matt Murray, who got to play two games with the Toronto Maple Leafs during the regular season.
After years of suffering from injuries and recovering in the AHL, Murray was given an opportunity, and he seized it. He even got garbage time minutes in the playoffs.
However, in free agency, Murray signed with the Seattle Kraken, where he will now have a much better opportunity at playing NHL games.

Matt Murray on the Toronto Maple Leafs

While speaking on the JD Bunkis Podcast, Murray was very honest about his time in Toronto, and just how much of a thrill it was to play for the franchise.
Overall, you can tell that it had an impact on him and that the 28 regular-season games he played were fond memories, even if he was experiencing a down period in his career.
I enjoyed every second in Toronto. I absolutely loved it. It was the honour of a lifetime to wear that jersey.
Last season with the Marlies, he had a 1.72 GAA and a .934 save percentage, so it makes sense why the Kraken wanted to pick him up.
The Kraken were not good when it came to goaltending last season, and while Murray isn't his Pittsburgh Penguins self, he can still turn it around.
We wish him the best of luck next season, and we hope that he continues to be a positive story in the league.
As for the Leafs, they will continue with guys like Anthony Stolarz and Joseph Woll, moving forward.
