Max Domi Confirms His Future with the Toronto Maple Leafs

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi is coming off a difficult season with the team, but he appears to be ready to go for yet another season in the Six.
Max Domi just wrapped up the first year of a four-year deal worth $15 million. Unfortunately for the Toronto Maple Leafs, the forward did not live up to that $3.75 million AAV.
He finished the season with eight goals, 25 assists, and 33 points in 74 games. Meanwhile, he had another seven points in 13 playoff games, which is at least respectable.
After Brad Treliving said the DNA of this Leafs team needed to change, there have been numerous debates about whether or not Domi still has a place on this team.
Is Max Domi staying with the Toronto Maple Leafs?
Well, if you were to ask Max Domi, you would quickly realize that his heart is fully invested in Toronto and everything the city has to offer.
While speaking on the FAN590, the forward revealed just how much he loves playing for the Leafs. While he acknowledged that it can be tough sometimes, he is always up to the challenge.
I absolutely love playing here. I love playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Pressure is a huge privilege and something you dream of your whole life to experience. Is it easy? No, but nothing's easy, and hard things are what make it fun.
This is going to be a pivotal offseason for the Leafs, and fans are very curious to see how all of this is going to play out.
Overall, Domi isn't safe, but he's also not in jeopardy either. Anything can happen this summer. But at $3.75 million for three seasons, the Leafs would be hard-pressed to find a trading partner.
At this point, one could argue that Domi just had a bad season. Next year, he has every opportunity to bounce back. Craig Berube just needs to put him in good positions.
Hopefully, the Leafs are able to have a big season in which they avenge those pesky playoff failures that have left fans wanting more.
