Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi has been struggling this season and there are all sorts of rumors that Brad Treliving will move him at the trade deadline.
Max Domi has had two massive goalless droughts so far this season and in the eyes of many, his production has simply become unacceptable.
Max Domi moves up to Toronto Maple Leafs second line
This Saturday, the Maple Leafs are taking on the Ottawa Senators and they will be missing guys like
John Tavares and maybe even
Matthew Knies.
McMann-Matthews-Marner
Domi-Holmberg-Nylander
Lorentz-Kampf-Robertson
Quillan-Minten-Reaves
Absent: Dewar, Knies (skated before)
Rielly-McCabe
OEL-Tanev
Benoit-Myers
Hakanpaa-Timmins
Woll
Murray
Stolarz
This brings up an interesting point, which is that perhaps Domi is getting that second-line look as a means of putting on a show for prospective teams.
If Treliving wants to make a trade involving Domi, there is no way he gets a good return unless Domi increases his offensive production.
Playing with William Nylander can certainly help him do that, although Holmberg as a second-line Center is a bit concerning.
Whatever the case may be, Domi needs to be better and we're sure the forward understands that.
