Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi got in trouble for hitting Florida Panthers star Aleksander Barkov from behind and it got him into trouble with the NHL.
Max Domi got fined $5000 by the NHL on Monday after he hit Aleksander Barkov from behind at the end of Game 4 on Sunday night.
In the eyes of many, the NHL was doing a bit too much with this punishment. However, others feel like it was completely reasonable given the circumstances.
Now, the series is tied at 2-2 and Game 5 will take place on Wednesday night in Toronto. This is a must-win for the Leafs, and Domi will need to have a big game.
Max Domi with a message for the haters
After practice today, Domi actually spoke to the media about the match, and he had a dialed in tone about the whole thing.
When asked about the hit, he noted that he just wans to play the next game. When pressed on the issue, he had the exact same answer to the question.

Overall, fans are expecting a lot in this Game 5 and for very good reason. The Toronto Maple Leafs need to win in order to make fans believe they can actually win a Stanley Cup.
If they mess this up, the fans are never going to forgive them. However, the Florida Panthers are the defending champs, and that means a good effort is needed.
It has been a while since we got a goal or even a point from Max Domi. As a result, he is one of many who must step up on Wednesday night.
A win would give this Leafs team an opportunity to end the series on Friday night in Florida. That would be monumental for the franchise.
