Mitch Marner's Top Free Agency Destination is Likely to Go With Sam Bennett Instead

Mitch Marner and the Toronto Maple Leafs are very likely to be heading towards a divorce this summer, and as a result, the superstar forward is exploring his options.

However, there is no telling where he is going to go. What we do know is that he has two teams at the top of his list, including the Las Vegas Golden Knights and the Florida Panthers.

Many insiders have reported that the Golden Knights will go after Marner. However, there is one who is actually taking a stand against the rest of his colleagues.

That insider is TSN's Chris Johnston, who took to his podcast today and stated that the Las Vegas Golden Knights aren't really a good fit for Marner.

Johnston firmly believes the Golden Knights won't even put in an offer for the winger. Instead, he expects the Knights to choose Sam Bennett, who represents their style a lot better.

It was an interesting segment on CJ's show, and he also made it a point to say that the Carolina Hurricanes would still love to have Marner.

Overall, the Toronto Maple Leafs have a lot to figure out this summer, and the same can be said of Marner, who isn't 100 percent committed to leaving Toronto.
