Ryan Reaves Reveals What Really Happened Between Him and Mitch Marner

Former Toronto Maple Leafs enforcer Ryan Reaves got to speak to 'Leafs Morning Take' this weekend, and it led to a revelation about the Mitch Marner stuff.
Ryan Reaves is someone who has become extremely polarizing within the Toronto Maple Leafs franchise, and it is because of his comments just a few weeks ago.
The forward claimed that the Maple Leafs were doing him dirty and that he even demanded that general manager Brad Treliving trade him.
Fans immediately became exasperated with Reaves, noting that he was becoming a diva, and was talking a lot for a guy who only had two points last season.

Furthermore, there was a conspiracy theory going around that Reaves was traded by the Maple Leafs because he told Mitch Marner to sign with the Las Vegas Golden Knights.
In an interview with 'Leafs Morning Take,' Reaves was quick to say that this was not the case. Instead, he was just giving honest advice to a guy he would consider a friend.
I wasn't trying to draw him away from Toronto, I was just being honest to one of my boys.
To be fair to Reaves here, if someone was to blame in this situation, it would have to be Marner himself, who was going to former Vegas players for advice.
Max Pacioretty, Mark Stone, and Adin Hill were all players that Marner talked to leading up to free agency. If anything, that is the biggest traitor of them all.
Ryan Reaves is an easy scapegoat, especially with his attitude after being traded. Having said that, the Maple Leafs fanbase should probably just relax for right now.
At the end of the day, the Maple Leafs are better off without Reaves, and he is no longer their problem.
