Toronto Maple Leafs Find the Perfect Trade Partner for Nick Robertson

Nick Robertson is entering arbitration with the Toronto Maple Leafs, and this has led to trade rumors, with numerous teams becoming potential landing spots.
On August 3rd, the Toronto Maple Leafs will be having an arbitration hearing with Nick Robertson, which will determine his salary moving forward.
Overall, this is something that the Maple Leafs just want to get over with. At the end of the day, Robertson has proven to be expendable, and the quicker he gets signed, the quicker they can trade him.
Recently, there has been a lot of talk about which teams would be the right fit for Robertson and would be willing to give up a roster player for him.
Nick Robertson to the Los Angeles Kings?
According to Kale Crisp of 6ixonice, the Los Angeles Kings are one of the top teams that could trade for Robertson.
They have a ton of cap space, and a player like Alex Turcotte would be the perfect return.
As for a potential return Alex Turcotte would be a good target. Turcotte was a first-round pick in 2019 but hasn't really popped yet at the professional level. He played in 68 games with the Kings this past season, the most of his career. Both parties may benefit from giving Turcotte a change of scenery, while giving the Kings a different young player looking to break through in the NHL.
Last season, Turcotte had 25 points in 68 games, which puts him around the same skill level as a guy like Robertson.
Moving forward, it will be very interesting to see if the Maple Leafs make any moves, or if general manager Brad Treliving is feeling bold.
The Maple Leafs are a team that still needs to improve, and a move involving Robertson could be a means to an end.
Only time will tell whether or not the Leafs make it happen, or if Robertson stays with the team for at least another season.
