Ryan Reaves slams Darnell Nurse and promises to "inflict pain"
Overall, there has been a lot of debate about Ryan Reaves and his controversial hit to the head, and whether or not he actually did anything obscenely wrong.
Since that time, Reaves has finally served his suspension, and now, he can come back to the Maple Leafs lineup.
Ryan Reaves addresses Darnell Nurse
According to Luke Fox of Sportsnet, Reaves spoke about his suspension from the league and whether or not it was justified.
For the most part, Reaves held his tongue and decided to inject some humor into the situation.
"I don't want to get into that. I already told the kids that Christmas is cancelled. I don't want to get fined again."
When it came to Darnell Nurse, however, Ryan Reaves was a bit more sinister in his tone.
Reaves admitted that his job and his role with the team is to inflict pain, however, he has always done this in the most respectful and clean way possible.
"The only truth that he spoke was, I go out there to inflict pain. That's a fact, and that's not going to stop. But I'm going to continue to do it legally. I'm going to keep playing hard, if not harder, now - and keep burying guys."
Ryan Reaves has always been a controversial player, and that is not going to change, anytime soon.
Only time will tell whether or not he is able to stay out of trouble for the rest of the season.
Moreover, it will be interesting to see how much the Leafs actually play him now.
