Sam Bennett Makes a Statement About Injuring Anthony Stolarz Without Even Saying a Single Word

Florida Panthers forward Sam Bennett is facing the wrath of Toronto Maple Leafs fans this morning and it is all because of his brutal hit on Anthony Stolarz.
Sam Bennett is public enemy number one in Toronto right now because of what he did to goaltender Anthony Stolarz last night.
As many of you already know, the Florida Panthers forward elbowed Stolarz in the head and it led to a pretty brutal concussion. Stolarz was puking and had to be transported to the hospital by ambulance.
For now, it seems as though the goaltender's series might be over, which could spell the end for the Maple Leafs in this series, despite getting the Game 1 win.

Ultimately, the fans are hoping for the best right now, but there is no telling if the best will happen.
As for Bennett, the media requested to speak to him after last night's game. Instead, the media was told no. The Panthers refused to make him available for questions.
Sam Bennett was not made available to the media post game. We asked for him post game but Panthers PR said he wasn't talking tonight.
This is a statement in and of itself. Clearly, the player and the team know that there was some wrongdoing, and they don't want to take any accountability.
As it stands, Anthony Stolarz is still being evaluated by doctors and we should have a clearer picture on him at some point today.
Whatever happens next, the Maple Leafs can hang their hats on the fact that they do, indeed, have the lead in the series right now.
We are just hoping for the best for Stolarz and we hope the NHL Department of Player Safety takes serious action here.
