Toronto Maple Leafs forward Scott Laughton has been struggling since joining the team, and recently, he spoke to the media about some of the issues he has faced.

The Toronto Maple Leafs gave up quite a haul to acquire Scott Laughton who was going to be the team's third-line center for the playoffs and beyond.
Nikita Grebenkin and a first-round pick in 2027 were victims of the trade and ultimately, the former Flyer has not lived up to the expectations whatsoever.
Instead, he has been pedestrian in his eight games as a Leafs and he has not managed a single point.
To add insult to injury, he was demoted to the fourth line for a couple of games although at practice today, he was back on the third line, albeit as a winger.

Scott Laughton speaks on Toronto Maple Leafs struggles

After practice, Laughton got to speak to the media where he spoke about his struggles and where he is at as a player right now.
Encouragingly, the forward revealed that he is actually feeling better and says every day, he is getting more comfortable.
"It's been crazy for sure. But I think I'm starting to find my footing. I think my game in Nashville was one of my better ones, so build on it. It doesn't really matter the role here, I think you try and help this team."

On Tuesday night, Laughton will be in a tough spot as he takes on his former team, the Philadelphia Flyers.
Overall, this is going to be a very interesting matchup and it is a game the Leafs need to win if they want to remain in the fight for the Atlantic Division title.
Hopefully, the Leafs come through and Laughton finally finds his footing, once and for all. He is a good guy and Leafs fans want to see him succeed.
